Whiskey Hutch
It’s sweeping the nation!!! Get on board before the train passes you by. This drink was invented by me, The Hutch, and it is officially delicious. And ever since I ordered one at the steakhouse in Las Vegas, it’s been a staple of all my friend’s drinking escapades. Some of their dads as well. Long story short, it made a big splash at my buddy Tom’s wedding, and definitely made the reception just a little more fun. Make one for yourself, or order it at your favorite bar. Be sure to call it a Whiskey Hutch when ordering, though: name recognition is everything.
Whiskey Hutch Recipe
Ingredients:
Jack Daniels (bourbon will do in a pinch)
Coca-Cola Classic (or Coke Zero, but definitely not Diet Coke)
Bar cherries
Lime
To make:
Fill a glass with crushed ice. Small ice cubes will also do. Fill glass 2/5 of the way full with Jack, and fill to just under full with Coke. Add cherry, smushing it while adding, to release its flavor. Sqeeze lime wedge over the top. Stir thoroughly. Enjoy.
Side Note: A proper Whiskey Hutch will always be ordered as a double, with 2 cherries and 2 limes. Anything else would be uncivilized.
